How can we help?
Short, practical guides to scoco.ai – from setup to everyday use. Every guide shows where a setting lives in the dashboard and who can change it.
Guides
Getting started
- Up and running in 10 minutesFrom your invite link to the first real call in your Inbox: create the account, go through the setup wizard, test, then switch on call forwarding.
- Sign inYou sign in with e-mail and password, with a passkey or through Google or Microsoft, and get back into the dashboard after a forgotten password or a lockout.
- Install scoco as an appPut scoco on your home screen through Share in Safari or with one tap in Chrome on Android, and the icon opens your Inbox directly, without a browser bar.
- GlossaryThe terms used in the dashboard and in these guides, explained briefly, each with a link to its guide.
Phone number & forwarding
- Set up call forwardingYou keep your number and forward calls to your scoco number with your provider's ordinary call forwarding — the planner under Settings → Phone numbers generates the exact codes for your provider.
- Status: Active, Messages only, PausedOne click on the status decides for all assistants whether they work as usual, only take messages, or let calls ring on your phone first for a few hours.
- Several assistants and numbersThe number that was dialled decides which assistant answers: how to create, silence or delete an assistant and how to assign, add or return numbers.
Your assistant
- Change the greetingYou change the greeting under Assistants → Behaviour; it must always say that an AI is speaking, or the dashboard refuses to save it.
- Rules: who gets which treatmentA rule tells your assistant: when a certain caller or request comes in, then put them through, take a message, refer them to e-mail or decline.
- Put callers through to a personYour assistant puts callers through to the numbers you store under Assistants → Behaviour; if nobody answers, it takes a message with a callback number.
- Put known callers straight throughWhen someone from your contacts calls, your phone can ring first without your assistant speaking; if you do not answer, the assistant takes the call.
- Set your business hoursYour assistant tells callers your business hours, books appointments only within them and can put calls through only then; with no hours set, nothing is restricted.
- Choose your assistant's voiceUnder Assistants → Voice & language you pick one of 24 voices after listening to its sample; callers hear it from the next call on.
- Which languages does your assistant speak?Your assistant greets in German and switches to the caller's language mid-call — in 32 languages.
- Industry templatesAn industry template sets what a new assistant asks, when it passes a call on and what it never does; you choose it when you create the assistant, and it is fixed afterwards.
- Test callA test caller holds two typical conversations with your assistant; you then get a score out of 100, with no minutes used.
Knowledge
- Manage what your assistant knowsYour assistant answers from four sources you maintain on the Knowledge and Behaviour tabs: company information, business hours, knowledge base documents and special terms.
- Import your websitescoco reads your website and suggests a description, opening hours, services and frequent questions — only what you select in the review is applied.
- Close knowledge gapsWhen your assistant finds no answer to a question, scoco collects it on the Knowledge tab and under Reports → Topics — an answer you add there applies from the next call.
Appointments
- Connect a calendarYou connect a Google or Microsoft 365 calendar per assistant under Settings → Integrations; scoco reads busy times there, not their content, and adds the appointments it books.
- Book appointments by phoneWith a calendar connected, your assistant gives out appointments itself, within your business hours and by the rules you set on the assistant's Appointments tab.
Day to day
- Work through the InboxOpen holds only the calls that need a person and open SMS threads — your assistant resolves everything else on its own, and you find it under All.
- Answer WhatsApp chatsChats shows every WhatsApp conversation live, one row per customer; you take a chat over by replying and hand it back to the assistant with one click.
- Manage contactsContacts come from calls automatically, by hand, from a CSV import or from Google and Microsoft 365 — and VIP and Block change how your assistant treats a caller.
- Email and SMS notificationsAfter every call, every active team member gets an email and, if they want, a text message — you set this per person under Settings → Notifications.
- Read your reportsReports show in four tabs what became of your calls, what callers talk about, how well your assistant works and how many minutes you have used.
Team & account
- Roles and permissionsEveryone in your account has one of four roles — Owner, Admin, Member or Viewer — and the role decides what they see and can do in the dashboard.
- Invite your teamUnder Settings → Team you invite someone by e-mail and give them a role in the same step — the link in the invitation is valid for 7 days.
- Your sign-in: password, two-factor and passkeysUnder Settings → Security you change your password, add an authenticator app or a passkey as a second factor, and sign out other devices.
Billing
- Plans, minutes and trialWhat each plan includes in minutes, numbers and users, what a minute beyond that costs, and how the free trial ends.
- Invoices and paymentUnder Settings → Billing you download your invoices, set the billing e-mail and manage your payment details; this page also says what happens when a payment fails.
Privacy & security
- Data retentionscoco keeps no recordings, only text: it deletes transcripts after 7 to 90 days and calls with their summaries after 12 to 36 months — you choose the periods.
- Delete your account and dataAs the owner you request deletion of all data under Data & privacy — you can withdraw the request for 14 days, after which we carry out the deletion.
Integrations
- Connect WhatsAppYou connect your WhatsApp Business number per assistant under Settings → Integrations; the app on your phone keeps working, and the assistant replies with what it knows on the phone.
- Connect Zapier, Make and n8nYou connect Zapier, Make or n8n with a webhook: paste the receiving address from your tool under Settings → Integrations → Automation.
Working with AI
- Ask scoco: ask, change, checkAsk scoco answers questions about your calls, and proposes changes to settings, rules and knowledge to owners and admins, which take effect only once you apply them.
