scoco.ai

05:40. A carer calls in sick, and there is nobody in the office yet.

The AI secretary for your care service

scoco.ai reports staff absences to the care manager immediately, takes relatives’ enquiries calmly and in full, and puts genuine emergencies through to the on-call phone under your own rules. No new number, no hardware at the office.

Your office is staffed even when everybody is out on rounds.

The most important call of the day comes at twenty to six, and there is nobody in the office. If a carer drops out and the care manager only hears at seven, the round can no longer be reorganised — and at the end of that chain is a person in need of care whose doorbell nobody rings. At the same time relatives ring because they are worried, and reach voicemail, or interrupt the care manager mid-round.

Five calls you know

The first is the most important, and it is exactly the one that lands today on a voicemail nobody listens to in time.

  • A carer calling in sick

“I can’t manage the early round today.” scoco takes the name, the round or shift affected and how long it is likely to last, and sends the message straight to the number you have set for the care manager. No voicemail, no waiting until the shift starts.

Result for the care manager: the message is on the phone at 05:42, not at 07:15. The round can still be reorganised.

  • Enquiry from a relative

“I wanted to ask when somebody is coming to my mother today.” scoco asks calmly, takes the client’s name, the request and the callback number, and reads the number back digit by digit. No information about clients, no round times, no health details.

Result for the office: one complete callback line instead of four voicemails from the same person.

  • Cancellation and rescheduling

“My mother is at the doctor tomorrow, please don’t come.” scoco takes the client, the appointment affected and the period.

Result for the office: the round planning hears in time, not when the carer is standing at a locked door.

  • New enquiry and first contact

“My wife is coming out of hospital, we need care.” scoco takes the name, callback number, location, the care level as the caller describes it and the preferred start. No statement about capacity, services or costs.

Result for the office: a qualified enquiry that gets called back at the right time.

  • Urgent call

If somebody says one of the phrasings you have set as urgent, scoco follows your rule: put straight through to the on-call number you have set, with a spoken note of what it is about.

Result for the on-call carer: only what should ring, rings. The rest is in the inbox in the morning.

What reaches the care manager

Text message to the care manager, 05:42:

scoco - STAFF ABSENCE - Care service Muster
Employee: Ms Sabine R.
Affects: Early round North, today
Expected: until the end of the week
Callback: 0157 3334455
Received: 05:42
Full text in the inbox

The relative’s enquiry at 08:15 travels the same way, only to the office instead of the care manager — with the caller, their relationship, the client named, the request and the callback window they asked for.

Your callers have nothing in common. Except the number they dial.

Both groups dial the same number. scoco recognises from the request what it is about, and handles each call by the rule you have set for it: text message to the care manager, email to the office, or put through to the on-call phone.

  • Relatives need calm

They ring because they are worried, and they can tell immediately whether somebody is listening. scoco lets them finish, asks follow-up questions and repeats the callback number digit by digit.

  • Your staff need speed

Calling in sick is not a conversation, it is a piece of information that has to reach the care manager within two minutes.

Start with the edges of the day.

  • Before and after office hours

From 8 pm to 7 am and at weekends. That is exactly when the sick calls and the worried relatives ring, and exactly when there is nobody in the office.

  • During the rounds

Between 6 and 10 in the morning and again in the afternoon the office is short-staffed. scoco catches what would otherwise land on voicemail.

  • Always, with an on-call rule

scoco answers first every time and puts through only what your rules say should be put through. The on-call phone gets noticeably quieter without anybody becoming unreachable.

Your care software

Live and verified: Google and Microsoft calendars, Google and Microsoft contacts, the scoco team inbox, and handover by text message and email. Everything else is planned or on request.

  • MediFox DANplanned
  • Connext Vivendiplanned
  • Snap (Euregon)on request
  • Curasoft, Godo, mynevaon request

Your care software is not directly connected yet. For the call that counts, that makes no difference: a sick call does not need to go into the system, it needs to reach the care manager within two minutes. That is exactly what happens. Everything else sits complete in the team inbox and transfers in seconds.

What scoco.ai expressly does not do for you

scoco cannot check who is calling. So it records and hands over rather than giving out information.

  • No information about clients. Not to relatives, not to doctors, not to authorities. Not even “yes, we look after him”.
  • No care advice, and no statement about care level, entitlements, top-up payments or billing.
  • No statement about medication, wound care or state of health.
  • No promise about taking somebody on, about capacity, or about when care can start.
  • No round times over the phone — that is a data protection question and a safety question at the same time.
  • No substitute for the emergency services. Anyone describing a medical emergency is handled by the rule you have set: a pointer to 112 and, if configured, being put through to your on-call phone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

This is about people. A machine can’t answer that phone.

The alternative today is not a person, it is voicemail. A worried relative does not leave a message — she rings three more times and by the fourth she is desperate. scoco lets her finish, asks follow-up questions, and makes sure your callback starts with complete details.

How quickly does the care manager hear about a sick call?

Immediately. The message goes by text to the number you have set for it, while the employee is still hanging up. Not at the start of the shift, and not after somebody has listened to voicemail.

Does scoco know our on-call rota?

No. scoco puts calls through to the number you have set for the on-call phone. When the on-call person changes, you change the number — by hand, today. An automatic rota is planned, but we are not selling it to you before it exists.

Does scoco give out information about our clients?

No, under no circumstances. scoco cannot establish who is calling. It records and hands over rather than giving out information — not even whether somebody is in your care at all.

And if a genuine emergency is reported?

Then the rule you have set applies: a spoken note that 112 is the number to call if life is at risk, and being put through to your on-call phone. scoco is not an emergency service and never presents itself as one.

We use MediFox. Do I have to change that?

No, and nothing about it changes. scoco is call forwarding, not a software migration. Your handovers arrive by text message and email and sit in the team inbox — your office transfers them into the system exactly as before, only with complete data.

What does it cost?

From €49 per month (plus VAT). Four weeks free, no payment details. Cancellable monthly, no setup fee.
