Monday, 7:30, the service desk. Four customers with keys in their hands, and the phone has been ringing out for seven minutes.
The AI secretary for your dealership and garage
scoco.ai handles both tracks: workshop enquiries with the registration, the job and the preferred date; sales enquiries with the vehicle, the interest and the callback number. Several calls at once, even with a queue at the desk.
Monday morning decides the week.
Between 7:30 and 9 the cars come in, and that is exactly when the phone rings most. You cannot do both. Whoever gets the engaged tone rings the garage in the next street, and does not come back. In October and March the tyre change arrives: four weeks in which the phone never stops, and for which nobody hires anyone. And a sales lead nobody takes is not a missed call — it is a four-figure margin standing next door.

Sales€9,000per month

Five calls you know
Two belong to the workshop, one to sales, and two end at scoco expressly in a callback rather than in an answer.
Workshop appointment
“I need an appointment for a service.” scoco takes the registration, the vehicle, the job and the preferred window, and reads the callback number back digit by digit. Straight into a free slot in your calendar if you want.
Result for the service desk: a complete job instead of a note with half a number on it.
MOT and tyre change
“When can I come in for the MOT?” The standard call of the season, and the easiest to delegate. scoco takes the registration, when it is due and the preferred date, or answers from your knowledge base when you have capacity.
Result for the service desk: the seasonal wave lands in the inbox in structured form, not in the engaged tone.
Repair status
“Is my car ready?” The most common call there is. scoco takes the registration, the name and the callback number and hands over to the service adviser. No status, no promise about when it will be finished.
Result for the service desk: a callback with a registration, instead of the customer ringing three times.
Sales enquiry
“Is the Golf you advertised still there?” scoco takes the vehicle, the name, the callback number and the interest, and books a test drive or a consultation straight into your calendar if wanted. No price commitment, no commitment about availability.
Result for sales: the lead is complete and the appointment is made before the prospect opens the next listing.
Breakdown and recovery
“I’m stuck here with engine trouble.” scoco takes the registration, the location, the vehicle and the callback number, and follows your rule: put through or notify immediately. No remote diagnosis.
Result for you: you know where the car is and what the customer is describing before you ring back.
What reaches the service desk
Text message to the service desk, 07:34:
scoco - Workshop appointment - Autohaus Muster Customer: Mr Michael W. Callback: 0175 6667788 Registration per customer: HD - MW 1234 Vehicle per customer: VW Passat, 2019 Job: service due, plus "squeaks when braking" Preferred date: this week, Friday if possible Courtesy car: needed Received: 07:34 Full text in the inbox
The sales enquiry at 07:41 travels the same way, only by email to sales instead of by text to the desk — with vehicle, listing, interest and part-exchange. What is read back is the callback number; the registration is shown exactly as the customer said it.
Two businesses ring one number.
scoco asks what it is about and routes by the rule you have set per area: text message to the service adviser, email to sales, or both into the team inbox. Two routes, one number, no confusion.
The workshop
needs a registration, a job and a date. The call is plannable, but in October and March they all come at once.
Sales
needs a vehicle, an interest and a callback number. The call is not plannable and is gone in five minutes, because the next listing is one click away.
Three ways to survive Monday morning.
When nobody picks up
The forwarding only kicks in when nobody answers within a few seconds. For the desk nothing changes, except that nobody gets the engaged tone any more.
In season
Tyre changes in October and March, MOT peaks in between. You switch the forwarding on when it gets tight and off again when it is over. The plan is cancellable monthly.
After hours and on Saturdays
Sales enquiries come in the evening and at weekends, because buying a car is a leisure activity. That is exactly when you would otherwise have voicemail.
Your workshop system
Live and verified: Google and Microsoft calendars, Google and Microsoft contacts, the scoco team inbox, and handover by text message and email. WERBAS/KSR and Loco-Soft are on our roadmap by name — as planned, with no date and no promise.
- WERBAS / KSRplanned
- Loco-Softplanned
- CarLo, ADAM, Vectoron request
- CDK, Autoline (DMS)on request
Your workshop system is not connected yet — with no provider in this market. What works today: the appointment goes into your calendar, and the job with the registration and what needs doing goes to the desk by text message. Your team enters it into the system when creating the job anyway, and then with complete details instead of a callback.
What scoco.ai expressly does not do for you
The service adviser judges, scoco records. That separation is the reason the rest is reliable.
- No price information and no estimate. Not for a repair and not for a vehicle, not “roughly” and not “from”.
- No remote diagnosis. No reasoning from a noise or a warning light to a cause, no assessment of whether a vehicle is still driveable.
- No information about repair status. scoco does not know it and cannot know it.
- No commitment about completion, about a vehicle being available, or about a courtesy car without a released calendar.
- No statement about warranty, guarantee or goodwill.
- No commitment about part-exchange value or finance terms.
- In an accident with injuries: a spoken note by the rule you have set, and a pointer to 112.

An extra person on the service desk costs you €4,022 a month, plus employer contributions, plus holiday, plus sick days — and they can still only hold one conversation at a time, while four customers wait at the counter. scoco.ai costs from €49 per month and takes the whole Monday morning in parallel.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
These calls are technical. An AI can’t do that.
It is not meant to. scoco makes no diagnosis and says nothing about causes, costs or whether a car is driveable. It records what the customer describes — in their own words, with the registration and the vehicle — and hands it to the service adviser. He judges, scoco records.
Does scoco tell my customers whether the car is ready?
No. It does not know and does not claim to. It takes the registration and the callback number and hands over to the desk. The advantage over today: the customer does not ring three times, because he knows the message has arrived.
We use WERBAS. Does scoco book into it?
Not today. WERBAS/KSR and Loco-Soft are on our roadmap, but we name no date and promise nothing. What works today: the appointment in the calendar, the job with the registration and what needs doing by text message to the desk, everything in the team inbox.
On Monday mornings ten people ring at once.
Then scoco takes ten calls at once, in every plan. That is exactly the difference from an extra person on the desk: they can hold one conversation.
We only need this for the tyre change.
Then use it only in October and March. The plan is cancellable monthly, there is no setup fee and no minimum term. You switch the forwarding on when the season starts.
Sales and the workshop are two different worlds here.
Which is exactly why scoco separates them. It asks what the call is about and routes by your rule: workshop enquiries by text message to the desk, sales enquiries by email to sales. Both also land in the shared inbox.
What does it cost?
From €49 per month for 500 included minutes, plus VAT. Four weeks free, no payment details. Cancellable monthly, no setup fee.
