scoco.ai

11:00, a full counter. You are advising a customer about an interaction, and the phone rings for the sixth time.

The AI secretary for your pharmacy

scoco.ai takes pre-orders and delivery requests in full, answers questions about opening hours, the out-of-hours rota and how to find you from your knowledge base — and advises on not one single medicine. That stays with you.

scoco.ai does not advise. That is the point.

Advice about medicines belongs to pharmaceutical staff. When such a question comes, scoco says exactly one thing: “I can’t tell you anything about that — our team will answer it personally. I’ll take your number and we’ll call you back, or you can come straight in.” What scoco takes on instead is everything you need no licence for.

  • No statement about effect, dosage, use, interactions, side effects, contraindications or suitability. Not even reporting what the leaflet says.
  • No recommendation of a product, no alternative when something is unavailable, no statement about substitution or insurer discount agreements.
  • No information about the status of a specific prescription or a specific order.
  • No statement about co-payments, reimbursement or costs.
  • No promise of availability. Only: “I’ll note that, the team will be in touch.”
  • No substitute for the emergency services. Anyone describing an acute poisoning or a medical emergency is handled by the rule you have set, and pointed to 112.

Every call interrupts a consultation.

At the counter stands a customer with a real question. The phone rings. One of the two waits, and neither should. After the surgeries close comes the second wave: prescription questions, availability, “are you still open”. On an out-of-hours night the phone rings all night, and half of those callers only want to know whether you are open. And the delivery request nobody takes becomes a round that never happens.

Example scenario

How much advisory time is the phone costing you?

Advisory time interrupted32hours a month, based on 24 opening days

scoco.ai: from €49 per month (plus VAT).

Five calls you know

Every one of them ends at scoco.ai in a complete record — and none of them in a statement about a medicine.

  • Pre-order

“Could you put the ibuprofen 600 aside for me?” scoco takes the product, the quantity, the name and the callback number, and reads the number back. No statement about whether the medicine is suitable or available.

Result for the team: a complete order line at the counter instead of a note with half a name on it.

  • Delivery

“Could you bring it round to me?” scoco takes the name, the address and the time window, asks again if anything is unclear, and reads the callback number back digit by digit.

Result for the team: a complete delivery request instead of a callback that has to collect half an address.

  • Availability

“Have you got it in?” scoco answers only from your knowledge base. For anything you have not stored, it takes the request and books a callback — rather than guessing.

Result for the team: a callback list with product and number, workable in one go.

  • Out-of-hours and opening times

“Are you open tonight? Where exactly are you?” The most common call of an out-of-hours night, and the only one that goes the same way every time. scoco answers it from your knowledge base, including directions and which bell to ring.

Result for the team: on an out-of-hours night, only what genuinely needs you still rings.

  • Prescriptions and e-prescriptions

“My doctor sent something to my phone, does that work with you?” scoco explains from your knowledge base how you accept e-prescriptions, and takes the name and callback number if needed. No information about the status of a specific prescription.

Result for the team: the standard explanation is no longer given fifteen times a day.

What reaches the pharmacy

Text message to the pharmacy, 11:04:

scoco - Delivery - Pharmacy Muster
Customer: Mr Werner S.
Callback: 0171 9876543
Address per caller: Lindenstrasse 14, 68167 Mannheim
Request: delivery this afternoon,
at home from 15:00
Product per customer: blood pressure medicine,
prescription already with you
Received: 11:04
Full text in the inbox

What the caller said is shown as the caller’s own account. What is read back is the callback number, digit by digit.

Three ways to take the pressure off the counter.

  • Only when the line is busy

Your team stays the first port of call. Anyone who would otherwise get the engaged tone reaches scoco and is recorded in full.

  • Only after closing

From 18:30 and at weekends. The calls after the surgeries close are pre-orders for tomorrow morning — and those otherwise never arrive.

  • On the out-of-hours night

scoco answers the standard questions and everything else rings through to you. The night gets considerably quieter without anybody being unreachable.

Your stock system

Live and verified: Google and Microsoft calendars, Google and Microsoft contacts, the scoco team inbox, and handover by text message and email. Everything else is planned or on request.

  • ADG (A3000)planned
  • IXOS (Pharmatechnik)planned
  • WINAPO (Lauer-Fischer / CGM)planned
  • awinta (PROKAS, one)planned
  • gesund.deon request

A direct connection to your stock system would gain you little here: whether a product is in stock, obtainable and compliant with the insurer’s discount agreement is checked by your team anyway. What scoco does is make sure the request reaches you complete and correct — by text message and email, and in the team inbox as well.

A pharmacy assistant who mostly answers the phone costs you €3,266 a month, plus employer contributions, plus holiday, plus sick days — and for that time they are missing from the counter. scoco.ai costs from €49 per month and answers the phone while your team stays at the counter.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

An AI must not say anything about medicines.

Correct, and it does not. If a question comes about effect, dosage or tolerance, there is exactly one answer: your team will answer that personally, and scoco notes the name and number for the callback. What scoco takes on is pre-orders, deliveries, opening hours, the out-of-hours rota and directions.

And if somebody presses anyway?

Then the answer stays the same. scoco answers only from the knowledge base you have stored and invents nothing on top. A question with nothing stored for it becomes a callback request — on the third asking too.

We have a customer who rings three times a day.

She is taken politely every time, without anybody at the counter having to break off a conversation. In the team inbox you see all three calls with the full history and decide yourself which of them needs a callback.

On the out-of-hours night I have to be reachable.

You stay reachable. You set what gets put through and what scoco answers itself. A large part of the night calls only ask whether you are open and where exactly you are — that is precisely what scoco takes off you, and everything else rings through.

Does the AI take the address down correctly?

The callback number is read back digit by digit. The address scoco notes exactly as the caller gives it, and it asks again if anything is unclear rather than guessing. It does not spell the address back — that would be a capability we do not have, so we do not claim it.

What does it cost?

From €49 per month (plus VAT). Four weeks free, no payment details, with the full feature set. After that cancellable monthly, no setup fee.

Will my customers notice it is an AI?

Yes, because scoco says so in the greeting. The EU AI Act has required that since August 2026, and we think it is right anyway. What your customers mainly notice: somebody picks up.

Try it. Right now.

Call our demo business — it picks up.
