scoco.ai

Monday, 8:02. Surgery is running, and everybody rings at once.

The AI secretary for your medical practice

scoco.ai takes several calls at the same time: appointment requests, cancellations, repeat prescriptions and referrals are recorded in full, standard questions are answered from your knowledge base, and anything urgent is put straight through under your own rules. No new practice software, no new number.

The morning wave is not a capacity problem. It is a simultaneity problem.

Between 8 and 9 everybody rings who needs an appointment before work. Two lines, one assistant — the rest get the engaged tone. And whoever gets it does not calmly ring back later: they ring three times in a row, and then the practice next door. Meanwhile somebody is standing at the desk who got there first. Both are in the right. And the bulk of those morning calls is routine that needs no medical judgement at all: a repeat prescription, a cancellation, a referral.

scoco.ai takes them in parallel. From €49 per month (plus VAT).

Five calls you know

Four of them are routine that needs no medical judgement. The fifth follows your rule.

  • Appointment request

“I need an appointment this week if possible.” scoco asks what it is about, when would suit and whether they are an existing patient, and books into a genuinely free slot in your Google or Outlook calendar — or hands it over in structured form, if you want to keep the booking yourself.

Result for the team: the appointment is made without anybody leaving surgery.

  • Repeat prescription

“I’ve run out of my blood pressure tablets.” scoco takes the name, date of birth, the medicine as the patient describes it and when they want to collect, and reads the callback number back digit by digit. No statement about whether the prescription will be issued.

Result for the team: a complete line on the prescription list instead of a callback note.

  • Cancellation

“I can’t make it tomorrow.” scoco takes the cancellation with the appointment and the name, and asks straight away about a replacement.

Result for the team: the slot is reported while it can still be filled.

  • Referral and certificate

“I need a referral to an orthopaedist.” scoco takes the request, the speciality, the quarter and when they want to collect.

Result for the team: workable in one go, not between two patients.

  • Urgent call

If somebody says one of the phrasings you have set as urgent, scoco follows your rule: put through immediately, notify immediately, or forward with a spoken note.

Result for the team: the call rings through, with a spoken note of what it is about.

What reaches reception

Text message to reception, 08:07:

scoco - Repeat prescription - Practice Dr. Muster
Patient: Mr Dietmar K., born 14.03.1958
Callback: 0160 5551234
Request per patient: blood pressure medicine,
"the small white ones", pack empty
Collection: from Thursday, in person
Existing patient: yes (per caller)
Received: 08:07
Full text in the inbox

Everything the patient said is shown as the patient’s own account — not as a finding by the AI. That distinction is visible on every handover.

Your practice management system

Live and verified: Google and Microsoft calendars, Google and Microsoft contacts, the scoco team inbox, and handover by text message and email. Everything else is planned or on request.

  • medatixx / x.concept / easymedplanned
  • CGM (Turbomed, Albis, M1 Pro)planned
  • Duriaon request
  • T2med, RED Medical, tomedoon request
  • Doctolibon request

Honestly: if you need appointments booked directly in the practice system, you need a specialist today. If an appointment in the practice calendar and a complete, immediately workable handover are enough for you, all you need is call forwarding — the summary goes to reception by text message and email, and sits in the team inbox as well.

What scoco.ai expressly does not do for you

No medical judgement, and no test results — never, not even when asked, not even to the patient themselves. Results are discussed by your practice, and only once it knows who it is speaking to.

  • No test results. Not “it’s in”, and not “nothing unusual”.
  • No diagnosis, no assessment of symptoms, no judgement of urgency.
  • No statement about medication, dosage or interactions.
  • No sick notes, no certificates, no promise that a prescription will be issued.
  • No identity check. scoco cannot establish who is calling — every detail is the caller’s own account and is handed over as such.
  • No triage of its own. Your word list and your rule apply; in case of doubt it escalates rather than judges.
  • No substitute for the emergency services. If a caller describes an emergency, scoco points them to 112, following the rule you have set.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Sick people ring us. An AI can’t judge that.

It is not meant to. scoco judges nothing. You set which phrasings are put straight through at your practice, and scoco follows exactly that rule. Everything else is recorded in full and handed to you. The judgement stays where it belongs.

Does the AI give out test results?

No, under no circumstances. If somebody asks about blood work or a result, scoco takes the name and callback number and says the practice will ring back. There is no configuration that changes this.

We have CGM Turbomed. Does scoco book into it?

No, and we do not claim it does. The appointment goes into your Google or Outlook calendar, and the complete handover reaches reception by text message and email. If you absolutely need a booking in the practice system, you are better served by a specialist — we would rather tell you that now than after the trial.

What happens to the call data? We have a duty of confidentiality.

There are no call recordings. Only a transcript and a summary, with defined retention periods and deletion on request, servers in Falkenstein, processing in the EU. You get a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR from us.

How many calls can scoco handle at once?

Several at once, load-test verified. That is exactly the difference from an extra person on reception: they can hold one conversation, scoco takes the whole morning wave.

How does the AI know it is really Mrs Müller calling?

It does not, and it does not pretend to. Every detail in the record is marked as the caller’s own account. That is also why there are no test results and no information about ongoing matters — only recording and handover.

How do we introduce this without anybody noticing?

Start with busy only. Your team stays the first port of call; anyone who would otherwise get the engaged tone reaches scoco. Nothing changes for the practice except the handovers waiting in the inbox each morning. After two weeks you decide whether to widen it.

Try it. Right now.
