Ten past three, a fitting in progress. The client is sitting in front of you, and out front the phone rings — it is another client’s daughter.
The AI secretary for your hearing care practice
scoco.ai lets people finish, asks patiently, and captures hearing tests, fittings, repairs and aftercare in structured form — with device, side and fault. It reads the callback number back digit by digit. No assessment of a hearing complaint, no recommendation about settings.
Your callers need time. And you are in the middle of a fitting.
A fitting is a conversation you do not interrupt. At the same time somebody is ringing who speaks slowly, asks again and needs calm — or a daughter ringing on her father’s behalf who does not know exactly which device he wears. This group almost never leaves a voicemail. The call is then not postponed, it is gone, and next time it arrives as a customer in the shop, without an appointment.
How much advisory time is the phone costing you?
Advisory time interrupted30hours a month, based on 25 opening days
scoco.ai: from €49 per month (plus VAT).
A scenario with your own numbers — move the sliders.
Five calls you know
Each card captures the device and the side where it matters, and ends in a result for the team.
Hearing test
“I think my hearing is worse than it was.” scoco takes the name, callback number and preferred window, and books the hearing test into a genuinely free slot in your calendar. About what the caller described it says nothing.
Result for the team: the appointment is made without anybody interrupting a fitting.
Fitting and adjustment
“The right one has been whistling for a few days.” scoco captures the device as the client names it, the side, since when and in what situation, and books an aftercare appointment or hands over by your rule. No recommendation about settings.
Result for the team: you know which device and which side before the appointment — and do not have to ask first.
Repair
“It won’t switch on at all any more.” scoco captures the device, the side, the fault and since when, plus the name and callback number, and follows your rule: appointment or prioritised handover. No remote diagnosis, no statement about cost or warranty.
Result for the team: the job is prepared before the client is standing in front of you.
Relatives
“I’m ringing for my father, he can’t get on with the device.” scoco records that the caller is not the wearer, takes down what the relative knows, and asks for the number on which the wearer themselves can be reached. It gives no information about the wearer.
Result for the team: you know who rang and who you are ringing back — in this trade those are not the same thing.
Cleaning, accessories and standard questions
“I need new filters” or “how late are you open?” scoco answers from your knowledge base and takes an order with the product as the client names it, the quantity and when they want to collect.
Result for the team: a workable line, and the same question is not answered for the twentieth time.
What reaches the shop
Text message to the shop, 15:14:
scoco - Repair - Hearing care Muster Caller: Ms Petra L. (daughter) Wearer per caller: Mr Hermann L. Callback: 06221 445566 (wearer's line) Device per caller: behind-the-ear, make unclear, about 3 years old Side: right Fault: will not switch on, battery has been changed Appointment type: repair intake Received: 15:14 Full text in the inbox
Who rang and who wears the device are shown separately. Everything is marked as the caller’s own account — including “make unclear”, because not knowing is usable information and a guessed make is not.
Listen patiently and you get complete details.
scoco does not interrupt, does not rush, and reads the callback number back digit by digit before the call ends. It answers only from your knowledge base and invents nothing on top. What it expressly does NOT promise: that it reliably understands every accent and every technical term. Where a call is not working, your rule applies — put through or call back, not keep guessing.
Three ways to start without risk.
Outside opening hours only
Evenings and on the days you are closed. That is exactly when relatives ring, because they are at work themselves during the day.
Only when nobody picks up
The forwarding kicks in after a few seconds. If somebody is free, they answer as always.
For defined call types
scoco answers first, books hearing tests and aftercare itself, and passes on everything your rules say belongs with a person.
Your trade software
Live and verified: Google and Microsoft calendars, Google and Microsoft contacts, the scoco team inbox, and handover by text message and email. We have no connection to hearing care software.
- AMPAREXon request
- AkuWinOfficeon request
- Iproon request
Your trade software is not connected. What works today: the appointment goes into your Google or Outlook calendar, the complete enquiry with device, side and fault goes to the shop by text message and email, and everything is in the team inbox as well. For taking in a repair that is precisely the part that matters.
What scoco.ai expressly does not do for you
About hearing itself scoco says nothing. It captures, books and hands over — by the rules you have released.
- No diagnosis and no medical assessment of a hearing complaint.
- No recommendation about a device, a style or a setting.
- No remote diagnosis of a hearing system and no instructions to open anything yourself.
- No statement about cost, co-payment, insurance cover, warranty or goodwill.
- No information about a wearer to third parties — not to relatives either. scoco cannot check who is calling.
- No booking into times the calendar does not show as free.
- No assurance that every accent and every technical term is reliably recognised. Where a call is not working, your handover rule applies.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI understand elderly or hard-of-hearing callers?
We do not promise you that across the board, and we would not believe anybody who did. What we can say: scoco does not interrupt, lets people finish, asks structured follow-up questions and reads the callback number back digit by digit. Where a call is not working, the rule you have set applies — put through or call back. Ring our demo shop and judge for yourself.
Does the system understand our trade terms?
You store your own terms: appointment types, device styles, services, accessories. What you enter, scoco uses; what you do not enter, it does not invent, it takes as a callback request. We will only assure you that every technical word is reliably recognised after a test corpus of our own.
Often it is the daughter who rings, not the client.
That is exactly what the two separate fields are for. scoco records who is ringing and who wears the device, and asks for the number on which the wearer can be reached. It gives the relative no information about the wearer — it cannot check who is calling.
Can it say what is causing the whistling?
No. It captures the device, the side, the fault and since when, and hands that over. There is no remote diagnosis, and certainly no recommendation about settings.
Can it book into our software?
No. scoco books appointments into your Google or Outlook calendar. AMPAREX, AkuWinOffice and Ipro are on our list to look at; none of them is connected, and we do not claim otherwise.
How do we start without risk?
Outside opening hours first. For two weeks scoco answers only in the evenings and on closing days; nothing changes in the shop. You read the transcripts as they come in and adjust the knowledge base and the rules. Four weeks are free, with no payment details.
What does it cost?
From €49 per month (plus VAT), for 500 included minutes. Cancellable monthly, no setup fee, no hardware.
