Delete your account and data
As the owner you request deletion of all data under Data & privacy — you can withdraw the request for 14 days, after which we carry out the deletion.
As the owner, you can request deletion of all the data in your scoco account. The button does not delete anything straight away: it files a request that you can withdraw for 14 days. By the end you will know what you can save beforehand, how the request works, when we delete an account after a trial or a subscription ends, and what is deleted and what is kept.
Save what you need first
In the dashboard you can download two exports yourself:
- Call list: under Reports, CSV downloads one row per call in the selected period, with the time, caller, assistant, result, minutes and whether the call was transferred.
- Single transcripts: open a call in the Inbox and choose Export transcript under More actions. You get a text file.
Transcripts only exist within your retention period.
We provide the complete export on request, with transcripts, summaries, call data, messages, contacts and your assistants' settings, also for a move to another provider. Write to us; the address is under Help in the dashboard.
Request deletion
- Open Settings
Data & privacy. - In the Delete account & data card, click Request deletion of all data.
- scoco runs a dry run and shows under The dry run found: how many calls, contacts and other records would be affected. Nothing is deleted at this point.
- If you like, say why you are leaving under Reason (optional).
- Type the word DELETE under Confirmation.
- Click Request deletion.
You see Request received — we will be in touch. Your account keeps working as normal until the deletion.
The 14 days
While the request is open, the card shows Deletion request in progress, who filed it and when, and the last day you can withdraw it. That is 14 days from the request. After that, scoco carries out the deletion.
To change your mind, click Withdraw the request during that time. You see Request withdrawn, and everything stays as it was. This works at least until the date shown, and after that for as long as the deletion has not been carried out.
After a trial or a subscription ends
When your trial ends without a booking, or your subscription ends, we delete the account without you requesting it:
- 30 days after the end. Until then you can sign in, see your data and save it as described above. Book a plan in that time and everything stays.
- Announced by e-mail to every Owner and the billing e-mail, at least 14 days before. Settings
Billing shows the earliest day we delete the account. - If the announcement reaches nobody, we try again daily for 30 days. After that we delete only once our team releases it, at least 14 days later. So keep the e-mail addresses current.
- If an invoice is open or a payment disputed, on that day we delete the account's content and keep only the billing data: company name, contract, invoices and the call minutes per month, until the claim is paid. To keep the account, write to us; while a dispute is open, no new plan can be booked.
- If a contract of your own with us applies, for example through a partner, that contract applies.
What is deleted is the same as for a request, see below. We give your phone numbers to someone else six months after your contract ended at the earliest.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted, among other things:
- calls, transcripts, summaries, notes and text messages
- contacts and appointment entries in scoco
- assistants with their knowledge and their rules
- every login of your team, with passkeys and linked Google or Microsoft sign-ins
- conversations with Ask scoco, webhook endpoints and connections to other services
Kept:
- Invoices and billing records: invoices, payment records and the billable call minutes per month, with company name, address and VAT ID. We keep them as the law requires: eight years from the end of the year in which the invoice was issued, paid or written off. After that we delete them. Our payment provider Stripe keeps the invoices too. After the deletion, only our team can see them.
- A record of the deletion: the company name, who requested it and how many entries were deleted.
- Backups: Encrypted backups expire on their own after six months at the latest and are never used to restore deleted data.
- Your acceptances: which documents, such as the terms of service, your account accepted in which version and when. The personal details attached to them are removed.
- Daily platform figures, no longer linked to you: how many calls and call minutes there were on a day, what they cost us and what contract value was running that day, without any content and without phone numbers. On deletion we add your figures to a combined row with no company name, so our platform statistics stay correct; your account can no longer be read from it.
- Usage statistics, no longer linked to you: which features of scoco were used and when, without any content. They stay with our analytics service PostHog for up to seven years. We delete the random IDs they were recorded under together with your account, so they can no longer be linked to anyone. The same applies to the usage analysis in the browser, if you had consented to it; its session recordings are deleted after 30 days in any case.
Common problems
The Delete account & data card is missing. Only the Owner sees it. See You cannot see a setting.
Request deletion cannot be clicked. Type DELETE exactly as shown. Upper or lower case does not matter.
A deletion request is already in progress for this account. There is already an open request. It is shown in the same card.
