# Up and running in 10 minutes

> From your invite link to the first real call in your Inbox: create the account, go through the setup wizard, test, then switch on call forwarding.

https://scoco.ai/en/docs/quickstart/

By the end of this guide you will have a configured assistant with its own scoco number, a test call behind you and call forwarding that sends calls to your assistant. The setup wizard takes you there. You can leave it at any point with **Continue later** and pick up where you stopped.

## Create your account

scoco is invitation-only for now. You need an invite link from us or a link from a scoco partner.

1. Open your invite link.
2. Fill in the form, accept the terms of service and the data processing agreement, and click **Create account**.
3. We e-mail you a 6-digit code. Enter it and click **Confirm**.

The setup wizard opens next.

## The setup wizard

First a page shows how the setup goes: **Set up**, **Test** and **Go live**. **Let's start** begins it. From then on the top shows which of the nine steps you are on, what it is called and what comes next. Everything you set here can be changed later.

| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| **Your company** | Company name, industry, town and country. Enter your website address and click **Fill in automatically**, and scoco reads your opening hours, services and frequent questions from it. |
| **Review knowledge** | You review what is taken over from your website. Anything you deselect is left out. Without a website, you describe your business here in a few sentences. Your assistant may tell any caller. |
| **Choose a template** | The template decides what your assistant asks and when it passes a call on. You also review the greeting here. The notice that an AI is speaking always stays in it. |
| **Choose a voice** | You choose the voice. Your assistant speaks every language from the start ([Languages](https://scoco.ai/en/docs/languages/)). **Next** creates your assistant. |
| **Phone number** | You get a scoco number. With **Forward your own number (recommended)** you later forward your existing number to it, or one you still get from a phone provider. |
| **Test call** | A test call, before anything changes on your phone line. |
| **Calendar & SMS** | Optional: notifications by e-mail or text message, and your calendar. |
| **Go live** | The forwarding guide, with your scoco number filled in. If you give out the scoco number directly, you need no guide: it opens only when you ask for it. |
| **Overview** | Everything at a glance. **Change** adjusts a single point; **Done — go to the dashboard** finishes. |

## Test before you change anything

The **Test call** step offers two ways. Both work before you touch your phone line.

- **Watch a demo call**: after **Start**, a test caller rings your assistant with two typical requests. It takes about three minutes, scoring included. You read along live and get a score out of 100 at the end.
- **Call it yourself**: you call your scoco number from your mobile. This is a real call. It appears in your Inbox afterwards, and you get the summary by e-mail.

## Switch on forwarding

If you keep your number, the **Go live** step forwards it to your scoco number. You pick your provider and when your assistant should take over. A mobile gets ready-made dial codes, other lines get the steps. **Print the guide / save as PDF** gives you a copy to take along.

Then call your usual number once from another phone and let it ring. scoco detects the first real call automatically.

Which forwarding fits when is explained in [Set up call forwarding](https://scoco.ai/en/docs/call-forwarding/). If you give the new scoco number to customers directly, you need no forwarding at all.

## Find your first call

Every call lands in the **Inbox**. **Open** holds only the calls that need you: messages taken, failed transfers and calls where the caller did not get through. Everything else, such as an answered question or a booked appointment, counts as done. You find those calls under **All** and **Resolved**.

If you left the wizard early, **Continue setup** on the **Overview** page takes you back.

## Common problems

**Sign-up says “Not open yet”.** You opened the page without a valid invitation. Open exactly the link from your invitation.

**This invite link is no longer valid**. The link has been used, has expired or was revoked. Ask your contact for a new one.

**The code does not arrive.** Check your spam folder and use **Send the code again**. You can do that three times an hour.

**The company name is taken.** Add your town, for example.

**Your number is still being set up.** scoco gets in touch as soon as it is ready. Until then no test call is possible. You then find the forwarding guide under **Settings › Phone numbers**.

**The test call will not start any more.** Test calls have a daily limit. It works again the next day.
